Nature walks and exploring

I want my little guys to have a love and thankfulness for the creation God has made. So almost everyday I try to get them outside for walks to explore nature, or as we call them "nature walks" its also a great way to burn off some of that pint up energy that kids never seem to run out of!

On our nature walks I ask my two year old to look for lizards ,birds and squirrels, we point out the colors of the trees and flowers, stop to examine ants crossing the sidewalk and have a blast making animal noises and singing the alphabet song!

I treasure these walks, away from the distractions of my phone and computer, God reminds me how blessed I really am.

Today on our nature walk Elijah handed me a fist full of crumpled up leaves and excitedly said "er mama fowers or you!" ( here mama flowers for you) my heart just about melted onto the side walk. These are the moments I will remember when I look back and my babies are all grown up.

Here is a few pictures from our walk today and one of what they look like after a walk- all tuckered out!
